Job Summary

  • The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants as required by regulations.
  • The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and supervises staff, including taking or assisting with appropriate disciplinary measures.
  • Utilize information from Licensing and Certification Surveys, Employee Evaluations, Facility Rounds, and recommendations from the Administrator and department heads to identify education needs.
