  • Assists in ensuring quality, cost efficient food preparation and the maintenance of safe and sanitary conditions.
  • The University of Maryland is a non-smoking campus and the incumbent must be able to work variable schedules including weekends, nights, evenings, holidays, and during campus closures due to emergencies.

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five years food service experience
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Maryland driver’s license with less than 5 points
  • Prince George’s County Food Service Manager Certification
  • TIPS or equivalent certification
  • State of Maryland Fire Marshall crowd management certification
  • Pass DOT physical and drug test
  • Maintain certifications throughout employment
