Job Summary

  • This position is the first point of contact for citizens reporting emergencies to Milton Fire and Rescue Services (MFRS).
  • The Communicator Technician receives incoming calls and provides prompt, accurate dispatching of apparatus, firefighting and rescue equipment, and MFRS emergency responders.
  • This position is eligible for an Employee Assistance Program and option to participate in the OMERS pension plan.

Key Requirements

  • Completion of APCO Institute Fire Service Communications or Emergency Dispatcher (Preferred)
  • NFPA 1221 Telecommunicator Level 1 & 2 (Preferred)
