This senior level position will develop, commercialize and mobilize technologies originating from the University and its Affiliated Hospitals, through fostering sponsored research, supporting entrepreneurship, developing commercialization plans, engaging with industry, conducting technology evaluation, patenting, prototype development and licensing (including complex, multi-party licensing), and through the formation of spin-off companies

Job Summary

  • This senior level position will develop, commercialize and mobilize technologies originating from the University and its Affiliated Hospitals, through fostering sponsored research, supporting entrepreneurship, developing commercialization plans, engaging with industry, conducting technology evaluation, patenting, prototype development and licensing (including complex, multi-party licensing), and through the formation of spin-off companies.
  • The position further takes a leadership role in translating research outputs from one of more specific innovation centres at UBC to create meaningful, positive impacts for society.
