Job Summary

  • The Training Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Traffic Agents are trained and assessed as operationally competent to safely exercise delegated authority in the public right-of-way.
  • This role combines operational supervision, compliance oversight, instructional leadership, and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced public-facing environment.
  • Successful candidates must be able to maintain their Special Constable status throughout their employment and will need to comply with all requirements of the Community Safety & Policing Act, Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Toronto & Toronto Police Services Board, Traffic Agent Code of Conduct, and all City of Toronto policies.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Justice Studies, Adult Education, and /or eLearning, or equivalent experience
  • Considerable experience planning, supervising, and directing staff
  • Considerable experience in customer-service and public-facing environments
  • Experience identifying training needs and designing/developing/implementing/evaluating training programs
  • Experience applying legislation and regulatory standards
  • Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain City driver's permit
  • Personal vehicle for business use
  • Ability to travel to various locations in the City
