  • The Resource Technologist B/C will provide high quality cell sorting and analytical services to investigators using the Penn Cytomics and Cell Sorting Shared Resource Laboratory.
  • The successful candidate is responsible for performing and documenting daily quality assurance of cytometry instrumentation across multiple departments while working closely with the Technical Director.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • 3-5 years analytical flow cytometry experience
  • Proficiency with cell sorters and flow cytometers
  • FACSDiva software proficiency required
  • Daily quality assurance of cytometry instrumentation

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with BD Biosciences platforms preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in continuing education in cytometry

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years (5+ for C) of flow cytometry experience
  • ASCP Specialist in Cytometry accreditation highly desirable
  • Knowledge of biosafety practices required for C position
