Job Summary

  • The Academic HR Assistant will provide day-to-day academic human resource consultation and advice to faculty, chairs, managers and staff in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
  • This is a full-time, 39-hour per week position, currently set at a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in person and 2 days remote which is subject to change.

Key Requirements

  • Associates’ degree, and 4-6 years of experience
  • Solid understanding of applicable HR laws
  • Ability to manage highly confidential material
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships
  • Experience working directly with people from various socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products
  • Ability to access, manage and report on HR software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • PHR or SPHR preferred or ability to obtain within two years
  • Experience with Workday, Interfolio, and Academic Jobs Online
