Job Summary
The AV ML Infra team at GM builds ML infrastructure designed to meet the unique demands of AI and ML innovation.
As an intern, you will help develop and optimize our AV ML Infra by improving data processing pipelines, scheduling, accelerating model training and inference workflows, and/or enhancing testing infrastructure.
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Develop scalable infrastructure and tools
Optimize ML training and inference workflows
Improve data processing pipelines
Experience with modern object-oriented programming
Experience coding in Java, C/C++, Python
Nice-to-have
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools
Demonstrated creativity and quick problem-solving
Research experience in machine learning infrastructure
Experience with distributed systems
Key Requirements
Master's degree in computer science or related field
Currently enrolled in full-time degree program
Experience in systems software or algorithms
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week
Intent to return to degree-program after internship
