Key Requirements

  • Associate's degree in health information technology or related field
  • 5 years coding experience if no degree
  • Coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) required
  • RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A credential required
  • 2-3 years experience with coding software if degree held
