Atlas Air is seeking a Safety Management System (SMS) Manager to enhance its corporate safety policies and practices. The role requires a strong background in airline operations or aviation safety, with an emphasis on safety management, data analysis, and regulatory compliance

Job Summary

  • The Safety Management System (SMS) Manager is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Corporate SMS to include elements of the Safety Policy, Safety Assurance, Safety Risk Management, and Safety Promotion components of the system.
  • Assist SRC Leadership in the management, continuous improvement, coordination, and execution of a SMS in accordance with the guidance contained in 14 CFR Part 5 and current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular’s (AC’s), and in accordance with International Standards.
  • Promoting safety awareness, encouraging open reporting of safety concerns, and ensuring that safety is a priority at all levels.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in airline operations or aviation safety
