Job Summary

• The Histocompatibility Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Technologist with molecular or histocompatibility experience to join their team, focusing on molecular methodologies including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and serology.
• Perform and maintain competency in technical work in the Histocompatibility Laboratory to support the hospital's Hematopoietic Stem Cell and Bone Marrow transplantation program, including DNA extraction, PCR, HLA typing by NGS, and engraftment monitoring.
• Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the Laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures and create and help maintain an environment that emphasizes safety following various regulations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
• NY State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required or eligible
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory
• 2+ years of experience in a molecular laboratory strongly preferred
• ASCP certification preferred
