UCFS Italia is seeking a Write-up Inspector in Muscatine, IA, who will be responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and estimating repairs for tank cars, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The role demands strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of AAR and FRA regulations, along with a commitment to quality and safety in inspections
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the inspection, researching, evaluation, and estimation of repairs in addition to the proper coding of and preparation of Billing Repair Card estimates & documentation required to maintain company, lessee, and customer fleets.
The incumbent must be trained in various inspection processes per FRA regulations and possess a working knowledge of current Fleet Repair Standards, AAR & FRA regulations.
The incumbent works alone and uses his/her own judgment and discretion, unless something is highly unusual or unprecedented.

Key Requirements
HS Diploma or GED
3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience
Strong background knowledge of AAR and FRA rule administration
Understanding of tank car design, components and regulatory requirements
Working knowledge of computers (AS400, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office)
