  • Ability to swim short distances unassisted
  • Experience operating watercraft like canoes and motorboats
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfort working in all weather conditions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google editing suites

Nice-to-have

  • Experience operating electrofishing backpack equipment
  • Familiarity with eDNA sampling collection protocols
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro software
  • Experience with data collection applications like Survey123
  • Basic knowledge identifying native and invasive fish
  • Experience using multiple GPS devices for navigation

Key Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in ecology, biology, or related field
  • Must obtain and maintain NYS Commercial Pesticide License (Technician)
  • Reliable transportation required for travel within the region
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in field operations
  • Must be able to work independently while supporting team efforts
