The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is the primary external representative of Sulzer to our clients and is financially responsible for the Order Intake (OI), Gross Profit Margin (GPM) and Operating Net Cash-Flow (ONCF) of the assigned areas budget for the company

Job Summary

  • The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is the primary external representative of Sulzer to our clients and is financially responsible for the Order Intake (OI), Gross Profit Margin (GPM) and Operating Net Cash-Flow (ONCF) of the assigned areas budget for the company.
  • The ASM will work closely with other Sulzer Turbo teams to include: Inside Sales, Business Process, Operations, Engineering, Finance, QC, Safety and HR to secure, ship and invoice profitable orders.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred
  • 5 years of industry knowledge and experience with Turbomachinery
  • Previous experience influencing or closing business
  • Commercial and technical knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of turbomachinery
  • Understand, interpret and discuss technical and commercial documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Inter-personal skills to interface with diverse backgrounds
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Understanding of basic financial statements
  • Proficiency with Salesforce
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office applications
