As a Patient Educator, you will assist with the overall coordinator of the diabetes education program, provide educational resources to physicians, caregivers and patients, facilitate the organizational change process by promoting and implementing services that achieve individual and organizational improvement, and provide quality service that results in increased effectiveness, e fficiency and adaptability to meet and exceed expectations

Job Summary

  • As a Patient Educator, you will assist with the overall coordinator of the diabetes education program, provide educational resources to physicians, caregivers and patients, facilitate the organizational change process by promoting and implementing services that achieve individual and organizational improvement, and provide quality service that results in increased effectiveness, e fficiency and adaptability to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Provide direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy or diabetes self-management education for assigned patient populations requiring nutrition and/or diabetes support in which medications and monitoring are an integral component in the design of therapy.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Licensed to practice dietetics or nursing in Ohio
  • Completed dietetic internship
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) upon hire or within two years
  • One year experience as RD, RN, or Pharmacist
