Must-have
HV substation primary design 11kV to 220kV
Technical authority on HV/LV electrical systems
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams
Compliance with rail and delivery standards
Coordination with clients and utilities
Earthing and insulation coordination design
Nice-to-have
Mentoring and developing engineering talent
Experience with 25kV AC Traction Systems
Championing innovation and digital engineering
Strong client-facing communication skills
Support for proposals and bid strategies
Collaboration in safety-in-design workshops
Key Requirements
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Chartered status or progression toward CPEng/RPEQ/RPEV
Proven experience in HV substation primary engineering
MTM Accreditation (Designer/Checker) or ability to obtain
Experience with DNSPs/TNSPs highly desirable
Excellent leadership and stakeholder influence skills
