Job Summary

  • This role will mainly consist of travel within the Greater Toronto Area.
  • The types of claims can vary, including building collapses, roof and cladding detachments, cracks in a building foundation, in-ground pool damage, collapses or retrofits, water ingress, etc.

Salary

Base: 101,800 - 124,400; Bonus/Equity: 12% Annual bonus target, potential payout up to double target; Benefits: Multiple benefits offered, Share plan & other savings, defined benefit pension plan

Key Requirements

  • University degree in Civil, Structural and/or Building Engineering
  • Member in good standing of PEO
  • Professional Engineer of Ontario
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's licence and good driving record
  • Advanced knowledge of building design, building science, and construction methods
  • Advanced knowledge of Part 9 of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and Ontario Building Code (OBC)
  • Experience in the insurance field and as an expert before the courts
