The PH Disease Intervention Spec I position supports the Communicable Disease Branch in a field-based, multi-county capacity, conducting investigations to identify and locate sexually transmitted disease (STD) and HIV case suspects, contacts, and associates to ensure rapid examination and treatment.
This role manages interviews, counseling, and partner services; explains disease processes, treatment, prevention, and legal requirements; and analyzes epidemiologic information to prioritize follow-up.
