Job Summary

• The Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness has primary oversight of group fitness, instructional and customizer classes, wellness programming, development workshops, and fitness marketing and social media.
• This position has significant financial, administrative and personnel responsibilities, reporting directly to the Director of Campus Recreation & Wellness.
• The role requires a demonstrated ability to work autonomously with initiative, critical and creative thinking, as well as a strong commitment to student development, collaboration, and customer service.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 7 years experience
• 3 years fitness programming/operations/management
• 1 year staff supervision
• Current fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM)
• Experience teaching group fitness classes
• Experience training/evaluating instructors and trainers
• Experience facilitating fitness testing and exercise prescriptions
