Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Bridge design using AASHTO LRFD
  • Technical design and plan production
  • Experience reading and reviewing bridge plans
  • Familiarity with LEAP OpenBridge Designer
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice-to-have

  • Bridge Maintenance experience
  • Bridge Inspection experience
  • Experience with state DOT bridge policies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and team oriented

Key Requirements

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EI certification or ability to obtain within one year
  • 1-5 years’ experience in bridge engineering
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work with GDOT, VDOT, TDOT, SCDOT, TXDOT, ALDOT, NCDOT and/or FDOT policies
