Job Summary

  • This position is a senior-level opportunity to lead design and technical assurance of large, complex railway projects and serve as a mentor to our broader engineering and design staff.
  • The successful candidate will lead the engineering design, assurance and integration of transit traction power systems, including traction power substations (TPSS), switching stations, paralleling stations, negative return systems and track to earth fault protection, ensuring that all solutions are aligned with project goals and client requirements.
  • You will lead design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance activities to maintain the integrity and reliability of the traction power system as well as resolving complex technical issues and provide guidance on engineering solutions.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years progressive engineering experience
  • P.Eng. license in Ontario
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with AC (25 kV) and DC (1.5 kV or 750 V) electrification
  • Experience with traction power simulation tools
