This position is responsible for operating locomotives; interpreting train orders, signals, and rules; transporting freight; and ensuring timely, correct switching and placement of railcars.
The role involves inspecting locomotives, operating throttle and airbrakes, assisting with training, observing track conditions, preparing reports, lubricating parts, and handling train equipment.
