Medical Assistants participate in patient care by recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms while providing support during life-threatening emergencies.
The position requires skill in administering various medications, performing venipuncture, and assisting physicians with procedures such as audiometry and skin tag removals.

Perform venipuncture adhering to OSHA safety
Accurately obtain vital signs and drug refills
Perform EKG and waived lab testing
Assist with medical procedures like colposcopies
Handle biohazardous specimens safely

Ability to work overtime during emergencies
Key Requirements
BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
Valid Medical Assistant diploma or certificate
National certification (CMA, NCCT, or AMT) preferred
10 hours training in injections and venipuncture if uncertified
