Job Summary

• The phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining specimen patients via venous, capillary or finger sticks.
• The phlebotomist verifies patient identification and explains sampling process to the patient.
• The phlebotomist is responsible for processing reference laboratory specimens, completing orders accurately, billing proper patient accounts, processing manual laboratory reports and assisting in any additional duties within the department.
