Sfyaa is seeking a Medical Scientist for a permanent full-time position located in Fitzroy, Victoria. The role involves overseeing quality in the Automated Chemistry section, ensuring compliance with NATA specifications, and managing staff training and competency

Job Summary

  • You will be responsible, with the assistance of Pathologists, Principal Scientist and the Grade 3 scientist Automated Chemistry, for the performance of assays in the automated area so that they produce accurate, high quality and timely results and reports.
  • The Biochemistry Department is a major section of St Vincent’s Pathology, performing and supporting the results of specialist studies and analysis including molecular biology (PCR), protein electrophoresis, immunochemistry, specific IgE assays, chromatography, immunosuppressant monitoring, breath testing, autoimmune serology, blood gases and automated general biochemical analysis.
