Job Summary

  • The Broadcast Operations Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of broadcast technology and streaming support for Major League Baseball.
  • Actively monitor broadcast and related systems to ensure smooth gameday operations and act as point person to assist in efforts to maintain, repair, install, and expand broadcast systems.
  • Provide technical operations support to MLBs local Media team, Replay Operations, Broadcast Engineering, Player Tracking, and Ballpark Infrastructure teams.

Key Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Broadcast industry
  • Experience in Broadcast Center / NOC environment
  • Working knowledge of video backhaul and distribution
  • Functional Knowledge of IP Video Transport encoding protocols
  • Understanding of SCTE-104/35 ad insertion triggers
  • Competence with Mac and Windows Operating Systems
  • Willingness to travel
