  • The Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor will oversee and provide technical leadership for day-to-day implementation of surveillance activities in AMEE, including epidemiological and laboratory surveillance for zoonotic, epidemic-, and pandemic-prone diseases.
  • Responsibilities include providing expert input to national guidelines and normative policies, advising governments and partners on best practices in surveillance, and ensuring timely production and dissemination of high-quality data and information.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree or its International Equivalent in epidemiology, public health, veterinary medicine or related field
  • At least 5 years of international experience applying epidemiological principles
  • At least 3 years of experience managing large USG-funded projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in zoonotic diseases, surveillance systems, and outbreak investigation and control across AMEE
  • English and proficiency required
