Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this job is to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of nursing supervision and in accordance with established standards and facility policies.
  • Essential duties include accurately preparing, administering, and documenting medications, reporting errors and reactions, verifying resident identity, and following procedures for medication receipt, destruction, and self-administration.
  • The role requires maintaining confidentiality of resident information, cooperating with inter-departmental personnel, and participating in continuing education programs to stay abreast of changes in the profession.
