** Yale University is seeking a Cytotechnologist to join their team, responsible for diagnosing GYN and NON-GYN specimens while adhering to quality assurance standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and the ability to work independently in a clinical environment. **

Job Summary

  • The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for diagnosing and signing out GYN specimens that do not display cytologic atypia, and for providing the pathologist with identification of abnormalities and their diagnosis for atypical GYN specimens.
  • The Cytotechnologist will also be responsible for reviewing NON-GYN specimens and submitting a diagnosis to the pathologist for review.
  • Instruct medical residents, clinicians and other lab personnel in techniques for collection, processing and screening of specimens.
