Job Summary

  • Responsible for leading, planning, and implementing the preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of School bus, light duty vehicles, and Support equipment.
  • Supervise a direct staff of 2-10 employees to ensure maintenance goals are met and set the standard for excellence in the maintenance department.
  • Manage all components of vehicle maintenance and garage functions, including cost control, inventory, and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in heavy or light vehicle maintenance
  • 5 years of experience managing a large work group
  • Vocational training in automotive technology or equivalent
  • ASE Master Automotive, Medium or Heavy Truck, and Master Automobile certifications preferred
  • Prior experience supervising, directing, and/or training employees
  • Prior experience with Fleet Management Information systems (FMIS)
  • Advanced PC Skills - MS Office with emphasis on Excel
