The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Family Liaison Specialist responsible for leading initiatives that support families of children and youth with special health care needs. The role involves coordinating efforts to develop family-centered programs, provide information and referrals, and ensure effective communication among various stakeholders.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading team meetings and work groups of families of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) to work on the development and maintenance of effective programs for CYSHCN.
The position will assure effective and ongoing communication between the Division/Section/Unit staff, other state and federal agencies, including the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, contractors and external local, state and national partners and organizations.
