** CIBC Capital Markets is seeking a Director of Finance Governance and Controls for its Asia Pacific region. The role involves overseeing governance structures, process enhancements, and control implementations while managing relationships with key stakeholders. **

Job Summary

  • The candidate will be involved in various initiatives within Finance, including Program Tempo, to ensure there is an appropriate Governance structure and provide advisory services for process enhancements, control implementation, key risk identification, and regulatory exposure.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing and testing controls for design and operating effectiveness, identifying control deficiencies, and monitoring remediation plans, as well as acting as the regional SOX Officer.
  • This role requires monitoring incident reports, risk and control self-assessments, and change initiative risk assessments, while also being the primary relationship manager with key stakeholders across APAC.
