Job Summary

  • This position reports to the Training Manager and is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs for detention center staff.
  • The Training Lieutenant instructs, trains, and supervises new hires and detention center staff, including conducting in-service and annual training and overseeing on-the-job training for probationary officers.
  • Maintains contact with S.C Criminal Justice Academy and various correctional organizations to ensure training information is correct and up to date.

  • CPR/First Aid certifications
  • Valid state driver’s license
