Truck Driver Job Responsibilities: Drive and operate trucks. Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps. Pre-inspect truck. Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Load and unload cargo. Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)( Class 4) 2+ years professional driving experience or related work experience Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles Physically fit and able to sit for long time periods, perform truck maintenance, and lift 25 pounds comfortably The candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator Able to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed
