This individual will purchase supplies, services, and equipment for the assigned areas while meeting with hospital personnel and vendors to coordinate all purchasing activity.
The role requires utilizing the bidding process, group and state purchasing contracts, and skillful negotiation to obtain the lowest possible price while maintaining an acceptable level of quality, delivery, and service.
Responsibilities include resolving back orders, finding acceptable substitutes when necessary, and preparing reports for management on cost savings.
