Job Summary

• This position covers outpatient nutrition counseling at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA 4 days per week, including adult and pediatric nutrition counseling, Cardiac Rehab and Oncology.
• The Clinical Dietitian plans and provides medical nutrition therapy and client education for inpatients and outpatients, conducts individualized nutrition assessment and evaluation, and implements appropriate medical nutrition therapy approaches.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics or equivalent 4 years of experience
• Master's degree for RDs graduated after January 1, 2024
• Completion of an American Dietetic Association approved internship or clinical experience
• Registration eligible to become an RDN required, registration within 90 days of hire
• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
• Keyboarding skills for automated computer systems
