Job Summary
The OR Support Assistant I supports the Operating Room staff by preparing case carts, maintaining supplies and equipment, and maintaining a safe and functional environment for all age groups.
OR Support Assistants work all three shifts, weekends and holidays, with individual shift rotation and schedules established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager.
Functions under direction of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and/or RN. in providing patient care, emotional support, and problem solving; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy/procedure.

Completion of state recognized CNA program
Completion of first semester junior year in accredited BSN program
Completion of sophomore year at VCU/MCV BSN
Completion of first year of Associate Degree/Diploma program
