Job Summary

  • The Student Intern will assist the Clinical Epidemiology Department in surveillance activities, data collection and quality improvement initiatives for the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC).
  • During the internship the student will be educated in subjects to prepare for future career in infection prevention and have the opportunity to sit for the Associate – Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC) certification.
  • Under the direction of the Lead Education IP and IP Supervisor, provides data and quality improvement support to facilitate the reduction of healthcare acquired infections, quality care and patient safety.
