Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
  • Four years experience as NC Probation/Parole Officer
  • Certification eligibility by NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
  • Annual firearm and unarmed self-defense qualification
  • CPR certification annually
  • Residency within 30 miles of county assignment within 90 days
