Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Manager of IT SOX Compliance to oversee the design and effectiveness of internal controls related to financial reporting, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and finance, particularly in large public companies, and will be responsible for process improvement and collaboration across various teams

Job Summary

  • Work alongside the Senior Manager, IT SOX Compliance in the coordination with IT and business process control owners to ensure continued effective design, implementation and operating effectiveness of a strong control framework in accordance with ICFR and COSO framework.
  • Assist in the provision of training and guidance to business units on SOX compliance and internal control best practices including effective documentation of IUC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, finance and operations, to implement efficiencies and, where appropriate, assist in the integration of data analytics into the SOX compliance framework.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • CPA, CISA (or equivalent) required
  • 5-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience

  • public accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI, Alteryx, or similar
