The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for Operations and Pharmacy Benefit Administrator Services. This position involves overseeing clinical and operational pharmacy programs, collaborating with healthcare partners, and improving Medicaid pharmacy operations in a hybrid work environment

Job Summary

  • This role leads key operational, clinical, and policy functions for the statewide Medicaid pharmacy benefit, overseeing pharmacy policy development, Preferred Drug List development, clinical criteria development, drug utilization review (DUR), physician-administered drugs and outpatient hospital drugs, as well as major CMS initiatives.
  • The selected candidate will work closely with internal leadership, external healthcare partners, and the state’s Pharmacy Benefit Administrator (PBA) to improve quality, optimize outcomes, and ensure efficient, high‑performing pharmacy operations across Medicaid Direct and Managed Care.
