Job Summary

  • The CAD Technician provides comprehensive engineering and technical support across production, projects, R&D, and administrative functions by assisting with existing and proposed production line layouts, drafting machinery and spare parts, and maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date drawings reflecting engineering and maintenance changes.
  • They oversee assigned engineering projects from initiation through completion, managing affected and as‑built drawings, ensuring drawing accuracy, and supporting validation activities for facilities, processes, and equipment.
  • Administratively, they demonstrate diplomatic leadership, promote a strong safety culture, provide timely and accurate recommendations to management, act as liaison with the City of Sturgis for permits and inspections, and maintain control and tracking of over 10,000 drawings through the division’s drawing management system.
