We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, validate, and support the production of advanced fiber optic and telecommunication products for defense and aerospace applications.
This position is critical to enhancing our design capability, improving production efficiency, and advancing KITCO’s role as a trusted provider of next-generation connectivity solutions for mission-critical defense platforms.
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Business Development, Sales, and Production to deliver innovative, ruggedized, and manufacturable solutions that meet stringent military and aerospace standards.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Mechanical design and production support
Proficiency in CAD SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Strong expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis
Experience with FEA/CAE tools
Hands-on prototype builds and 3D printing
Familiarity with RF and optical test equipment
Cross-functional team collaboration
Nice-to-have
Military naval shipboard fiber optic experience
Knowledge of government programs and ruggedized systems
Exposure to MIL, IEC, TIA, VITA, SOSA standards
Familiarity with intellectual property processes
Mentoring early-career engineers
Continuous improvement mindset
Strong organizational and time management skills
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
5–10 years mechanical design and production support experience
U.S. citizenship required
Familiarity with ERP systems (Costpoint preferred)
Experience with military and aerospace standards compliance
