Job Summary

  • The Sr. Specialist works collaboratively with teams and department leaders throughout Cook Children Healthcare System to demonstrate our values and achieve Our Promise through the implementation of process improvement initiatives and programs.
  • The Sr. Specialist acts as an internal expert, consultant and organizational process improvement champion who leads departmental and cross-functional teams, and assists with the coaching and mentoring of Green Belts, through all aspects of the continuous improvement effort using Lean, Six Sigma and other effective strategies and methodologies.
  • As an agent of change, the Sr. Specialist will serve as a catalyst to create a culture that continuously strives for operational excellence and embraces the principles of process improvement.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Nursing or clinical discipline
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required
  • At least 5 years process improvement experience
  • Master's degree a plus
