Job Summary
The Architectural Director of Major Projects provides leadership and strategic oversight for the planning and design of major capital construction and renovation projects across the university campus.
This position directs the Major Projects team within Facilities Planning and Design and manages external architectural and engineering consulting partners to ensure that campus facilities support the university’s academic mission, institutional values, and long-term campus development goals.

Key Requirements
Professional Architecture degree
Ten to fifteen years’ experience as licensed architect
Strong knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering
In-depth knowledge of architectural design standards and building codes
Firm commitment to BYU mission
Master’s degree in architecture (preferred)
Fifteen plus years’ experience as licensed architect (preferred)
