Job Summary
This role contributes to ABB's Motion business by identifying and implementing innovative solutions for hardware projects.
The successful candidate will independently analyze electrical faults, trace failure paths in PCBAs, and arrive at root causes using advanced lab techniques.
You will own the process from hypothesis generation to design improvements, including qualifying alternate suppliers and validating design changes.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
PCBA electrical fault tracing
Root cause analysis of component failure
Hands-on testing with oscilloscopes
Design change notification (ECN) ownership
X-Ray and SEM analysis experience
5 to 8 years hardware engineering experience

Variable Frequency Drives background
First principles thinking approach
Field site experience exposure

B Tech or M Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
