Job Summary
The Engineer will sit in RWE Renewables’ Offshore Wind Engineering Department, specifically the Electrical System & Project Engineering Region 2 team.
The role will support the Project’s Engineering and Package Managers with responsibilities including ensuring a robust and optimised through life design of the project’s electrical system supporting on all aspects of the generation and transmission system up to the grid interface point.
RWE develops and constructs renewable energy projects around the world, and owns and operates offshore wind farm projects throughout Europe representing a total of 2.4 GW.

Key Requirements
University degree or comparable education
Fluent English speaking and writing
Experience in system studies of offshore wind
Experience of the grid connection process and Grid Code in the UK
Comprehensive knowledge of DigSilent PowerFactory and PSCAD
Knowledge of electrical plant including large power transformers
Appreciation of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM)
