Job Summary

  • The clinical physicist in Radiation Oncology is responsible for specification and acquisition of all radiation generating equipment, calibration of the treatment machines and acquisition and maintenance of all dosimetry and health-physics equipment.
  • Reviews OSU radiation treatment charts and instructs personnel in principles and regulations related to radiation therapy physics, dosimetry and radiation protection.
  • Under indirect supervision, provides professional medical physics services at the Department of Radiation Medicine (or its outreach/affiliates) of the Medical Center.
