Job Summary

  • Perform calibrations and measurements traceable to NIST and the International System of Units (SI) using properly maintained reference standards.
  • Collaborate with equipment-owning engineers and technicians to schedule calibration activities, provide guidance on test and measurement equipment selection, and lead adherence to documented Metrology department procedures.

Must-have

  • Perform calibrations traceable to NIST
  • Calibrate test, inspection, and measurement equipment
  • Support multiple metrology disciplines
  • Create and revise calibration procedures
  • Document calibration results accurately
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment

Nice-to-have

  • Strong background in math, statistics, and physics
  • Proficiency with Minitab or other statistical software
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience in medical device or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with DMAIC problem-solving methodology
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of electronic or physical calibration-related technical school training or equivalent military training
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 10012, ISO 17025)
