Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Nuclear engineering
  • Hands-on experience with space propulsion research and development
  • Proficiency with National Instruments, Omega, Fluke, or Eaton instruments
  • Experience writing test plans and implementing them into final test products
  • Working knowledge of vacuum chambers and large volume air tanks
  • Ability to review schematics and implement hardware interfaces

Nice-to-have

  • Cursory electronics background including circuit building and avionics
  • Knowledge of small pressure fed thrusters using green propellants
  • Familiarity with cryogens and fuels used in nuclear engines
  • Experience modeling and wiring facilities power interfaces
  • Background in designing laboratory-scale plumbing for high/low pressures

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited university preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant engineering experience
  • Must be a US Citizen with STAR ID
  • Ability to attain Department of Defense security clearance
